Meredith works with specialist research organisations to develop cost effective research programs to inform visitor economy planning and decision-making.
She has an advanced level of understanding of visitor economy research that is founded on her PhD studies and research in destination management systems and sustainable tourism. She is experienced in designing:

Examples of research projects include:
Bega Valley Business Survey – engaged by Destination Southern New South Wales to design and analyse a survey that examined impacts for businesses of the hard closure of the Victorian border due to the Covid-19 health pandemic for the period 31 December 31 2020 to 11 February 2021. The area had been impacted by bushfires during the same period in 2019/2020.
Tablelands Consumer Perceptions Research – worked with Dynata Research to administer a survey with 355 participants to explore potential visitors awareness of the Southern Tablelands region and its destinations (2020)
Tablelands Visitation Analysis Report – engaged Destination Research an Development to critically analyse TRA domestic and international visitation trends, visitor profiles and activities across the 5 Tablelands LGAs (2020)
Richmond Valley Visitor Market Analysis – worked with Destination Research and Development to analyse TRA domestic and international visitation, visitor profiles and activities and accommodation offerings (including short-term holiday letting) (2020)
Eurobodalla Consumer Perceptions Research – worked with Research Now to administer a qualitative online forum and survey with 368 participants to explore potential visitors awareness of Eurobodalla and its destinations (2018)
Eurobodalla Destination Visitor Survey – worked with Micromex Research to design and administer an in-destination survey during Summer and Winter to profile visitors, understand visitor satisfaction and booking process (2018)
Eurobodalla Tourism Monitor Report – engaged Destination Research an Development to critically analyse TRA domestic and international visitation trends, visitor profiles and activities (2018 and ongoing)
Astro Tourism Best Practice Review Report – engaged by the Griffith University Institute for Tourism to identify international best practice to inform new tourism experience development at the Cosmos Centre, Charleville (QLD) (2016)
Great Lakes Tourism, Summer Visitor Survey – designed and analysed survey that was administered in locations around the LGA and online (2016)
Destination New South Wales – analysed tourism product and experiences across regional NSW that were contrasted to Australian Tourism Data Warehouse geo-coded data to develop a series of maps that identified and mapped established potential and emerging tourism experiences across regional NSW (2015)
Department of Archaeology, Al-Hussein Bin Talal University – designed and helped to administer a survey with 550 international visitors to the Petra Archaeological Park to plan for the integration of recently discovered Neolithic villages as part of the visitor experience (2015)
